| OMG!!! |
My worst fear happened just moments ago, I always thought it would happen but some small part of me thought I might actually get lucky and never be forced to deal with it. The first weekend of July marked my one year anniversary of living in my apartment, my first room-mate free place. It also happens to be my first ground floor apartment, because it allows my daughter to have a backyard. Well at approximately 6:30 this evening while my daughter and I were watching Gilmore Girl’s on DVD (her choice) and eating dinner (pizza and risotto – shut up). My Lorelei banter was interrupted by noise above us (marking the living room of my neighbor above), at first I thought she was just moving something . . . perhaps exercising at a rhythmic pace. Then it stopped and I brushed it off, but not even a few seconds later the thudding started again. This time it didn’t stop for a few minutes. I could have sworn I hear heavy breathing, perhaps something more . . . I quickly began turning the volume up on the TV. A panicked eye looking to my daughter who was thankfully still focused on the episode we were watching. I felt a wave of nausea flood over me, the thought of people having sex right above me and my DAUGHTER!!! I think that was the most upsetting about it, the fact that my daughter was sitting right there eating her slightly over baked pizza. But on a happier note the thudding stopped a short time later (if it was sex I have to say I was very disappointed in the sprint of it all . . . or perhaps they retired to a less squeaky place to continue). So I have retreated to me room, to watch Harry Potter and play on the computer while my daughter dragged out her box of ponies to play in the living room.
I hope this doesn’t affect my dreams tonight
Question of the Day: I’m having sound flash-backs, I’ll write one later |
