Treading Water
Ever have a busy weekend, where you get some major things done but you fall behind on others? Ya that happened to me over this last weekend. We (Me, Best Friend, her Mom, future Mother-In-Law, my Mom & my daughter) all went to the BIG bridal show. Ok I've never been to a show at the Convention Center at 10:30 in the morning where the show opens at 11:00. There were hundreds of women already there, hug lines everywhere. I even was informed by a Cop working the show that this morning show doesn't allow strollers due to the high number of people there . . . there just isn't room inside for them. So she directed me to where I was to leave the stroller. Telling this to my daughter cause me to deal with a very upset little girl, who only wanted to sit quietly in her stroller and play her Leap Pad. Do know what that was like? To actual deny my daughter the ability to quietly sit and entertain herself while I oogled all the pretties. It was painful.

Any who that was most of Saturday, and then Sunday after church (*Does a little dance* yes I actually made it to church this week) the same group piled into my Mom-s Van and went up to Vancouver. The Hostess House was one of the many shops that participated in a fashion show on Saturday. The happened to show Melanie's dream dress, a mix of renisants and old world charm. Though this wasn't the first shopping session we had for a wedding dress, where Mel looked Great in lots of dress' the dresses she tried on looked great but really didn't match who Melanie was. I couldn't even try to imagine the look on Melanie's face when she walked out in this off the shoulder ivory and gold dress that looked straight out of old world Europe. Though it wasn't the one in the show, cause it was still at the show. The only real difference was that the dress she had on now didn't have a train . . . which was perfect cause she didn't want one to begin with. Did I mention aside from a few extra inches in length the dress fit her perfectly? How much more of a sign do you need. And to add icing to the cake everyone was in agreement about the dress, which is a feat considering the taste difference between Mel's family and her soon to be Mother-In-Law.

Because all weekend was spent on wedding details, gathering information and finding the PERFECT dress it left me ZERO time to get what I wanted to do. Which was cleaning and laundry, specifically the kitchen. One of thing that annoy me about cooking, the dishes it leaves behind. So I get to do cleaning tonight (including a bath for my daughter) and then Laundry will be done tomorrow at my parent's house since I'll be over there to watch my Tuesday Prime-Time shows anyways.
